Museum of Brisbane projects

Working with the incredible team at Museum of Brisbane, I helped to deliver the following projects as Assistant Curator (2018-19) and Curator (2019-2021). These projects were huge collaborative efforts, with my roles extending to exhibition research, frameworks and development, text production, artist consultation.

City in the Sun exhibition at Museum of Brisbane (2021-22)
City in the Sun uncovers and reimagines Brisbane’s subtropical image. Showcasing large-scale new contemporary artworks alongside historical imagery, the exhibition reveals how the city’s history of migration, tourism, climate, environment and geographic location has contributed to the images of a subtropical oasis of leisure and abundance.

The Storytellers exhibition at Museum of Brisbane (2020-22)

Featuring nine short stories by Brisbane authors, The Storytellers creates an immersive and interactive storytelling experience combining historical objects, artworks, and written and narrated histories to share Brisbane’s many identities.

New Woman exhibition at Museum of Brisbane (2019-20)

New Woman featured over 110 works by female artists working in Brisbane over the last 100 years, from the independent and adventurous to the often overlooked, exploring the trailblazing women who have continued to take the lead in Brisbane art. This exhibition was accompanied by an exhibition catalogue.

Dress Code exhibition at Museum of Brisbane (2018-19)

Dress Code presented the works of five contemporary artists to explore fashion as the material embodiment of culture, gender and historical identity.
