MJ Sucettes Museum Reconstruction, 2015, cast jelly, cast marshmallow, jars, handwritten labels, fabricated interview video, fabricated website, tables, fabricated didactic

This installation presented a museum display related to a scientific research study in which I was a participant. The research study took plaster casts of every superficial mark on my body, such as scars, moles and burns, as well as collecting skin samples. I was asked to explain the origin of each mark, which was recorded as a video and in the form of labels accompanying each sample. When the study was finished, I requested copies of all the samples they had taken and included them in this exhibition along with the website for the study institute and the video of me describing each mark. The study was completely fabricated and each cast or sample in the exhibition was entirely edible, created from jelly and marshmallow.
